What you'll do
At Acato, you’ll shape the strategic front end of digital products and services as a Business Designer. You’ll own the Discover & Define phase and make sure the team doesn’t rush into solutions before the real problem is clear. You’ll set up and run qualitative research, map customer journeys and service blueprints, and turn insights into a clear product vision. You’ll also facilitate workshops with clients and stakeholders to align everyone around the right direction. This is a role for someone who enjoys connecting business, user needs, and the team, while bringing structure to complex challenges.
Tasks
Set up and run qualitative research to uncover motivations and needs- Map complex ecosystems, customer journeys, and service blueprints
- Translate research findings into product vision and strategic frameworks
- Facilitate workshops with clients and stakeholders
- Bridge business, user needs, and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to new ways of working and AI experiments
Where you'll work
Acato is a close-knit team of designers, developers, and strategists building digital services and products with real impact. You’ll join a multidisciplinary design team in Utrecht or The Hague, working closely with technical experts and business developers. What Acato offers
Gross monthly salary of 4,000 to 6,000 euros based on 40 hours- Contract for 32 to 40 hours per week

What you’ll need
Work experience in UX design, strategy, service design, or a similar strategic role- Knowledge of the early design process, such as service blueprints and needs research
- You speak Dutch fluently
- You work well with different disciplines
- You have business sensitivity and understand commercial interests
- You are curious and like experimenting with new ways of working and AI
