Senior Product Designer at DeepL

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Designer at DeepL, you will help shape a product used by millions of people worldwide to break down language barriers. You will make the translation experience in DeepL Translate smarter, faster, and above all, more trustworthy. In this role, you will dive deep into user research, turn insights into strong design solutions, and work closely with product managers and engineers. You will help define the product vision, build prototypes, work in Figma, and even make small code changes in production. You will also contribute to the design system and raise the design bar across the team.

Tasks

•   Conduct user research to understand the needs and pain points of different user groups
•   Gather and align requirements with product, engineering, and other stakeholders
•   Share design concepts early and back them with qualitative and quantitative insights
•   Deliver prototypes, final design specs, and small code changes in production
•   Help maintain and expand the design system
•   Present design decisions clearly and bring stakeholders along
•   Collaborate in a cross-functional team on a scalable product

What you’ll need

•   4+ years of experience in product teams for web applications
•   Strong understanding of user-centered design processes
•   Experience designing for B2B audiences
•   You can drive the full design process from discovery to impact measurement
•   You communicate strongly and bring stakeholders along
•   You work confidently in Figma
•   You are fluent in English
