What you'll do
As a temporary Service Designer, you’ll help Interrail define what travelling with them should feel like from 2027 to 2029. You’ll dive into existing customer, brand and travel data, run qualitative research with European travellers, and turn insights into a clear experience vision. Together with the team, you’ll shape the Customer & Travel Experience Strategy and a Target Traveller Journey, from first inspiration to sharing stories back home. You’ll develop strategic experience opportunities and concept directions, without locking into solutions too early. You’ll also align with stakeholders and hand over the work for the next phase.
Tasks
Analyse and synthesise existing customer, brand and travel data
Design and conduct around 12 qualitative interviews with European travellers
Translate insights into the Interrail Effect definition
Develop the Target Traveller Journey from inspiration to memory
Formulate 3 to 5 strategic experience opportunities and concept directions
Align with stakeholders and make the work ready to hand over
Where you'll work
Interrail believes travel brings people closer together and helps them see the world with an open mind. The team works with colleagues from more than 50 countries, creating a mix of perspectives, curiosity and openness. The setup is flexible and hybrid, with work from the Utrecht HQ and from home across the Netherlands. It’s a place for people who like to think ahead, collaborate closely and get energy from work with real impact.
